OVERVIEW

To all the powerful women out there: we want to hear you roar! This Valentine’s Day, show your love to the women who conquered the Rock music world. The Utah Symphony honors legendary ladies with highlights from Carole King, Holly Knight, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Pat Benatar, Minnie Riperton, Heart, and more. “Women Rock!” honors these powerful female singers and songwriters who changed Pop and Rock & Roll forever. To quote Queen Bey, “Who run the world? GIRLS.”

GENERAL AGE GUIDELINE: Individuals ages five and older are welcome at this performance. Parents should ensure their children are able to sit quietly through the performance without disturbing others around them. No babes in arms will be admitted.

LATE SEATING POLICY: Late seating will take place between pieces as needed for this performance. More information on our late and re-entry policies is found here.

PRE- AND POST-CONCERT FESTIVITIES: Give Utah Symphony a “heart attack” by writing the names of the women who rock in your life on hearts and adding them to the walls of Abravanel Hall.

Meet the leading ladies of the Utah Symphony in the lobby after they perform.

Join us on Saturday, February 15 at 6pm for a pre-concert reception sponsored by Viking Cruises & Morris Murdock Travel. This will be an opportunity for you to learn more about Viking Cruises, enjoy hors d’oeuvres & drinks, and attend the Symphony that evening.
