Mighty 5 Tour

Only in Utah

In August of 2014, the Utah Symphony embarked upon a tour of mighty proportions to Utah’s red rock country, home to the state’s five iconic national parks – Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon and Zion – known collectively as “The Mighty 5®”.

Four free concerts featuring the full symphony orchestra took place in outdoor venues throughout the communities of southern Utah against the natural backdrop of arches, spires and canyons that define The Mighty 5, and brilliant red rocks set afire by the setting summer sun. Music Director Thierry Fischer led the Utah Symphony and guest vocalist Celena Shafer in symphonic works that complemented the beauty of the surrounding southern Utah landscape.

To all who made that incredible week possible (our patrons, volunteers, donors, musicians, staff, the state legislature and so many others) we thank you.
