Dr. Hardink shares his experience performing Olivier Messiaen’s Des Canyons aux Étoiles for the 2019/20 Utah Symphony Masterworks series. Instead of performing all twelve movements in one sitting, Maestro Thierry Fischer programmed the work over multiple concerts throughout the season.

He also discusses the attitude and approach when featured as a soloist and an orchestra member in the same performance.
