Kyle Dickson

American Conductor Kyle Dickson was recently appointed Assistant Conductor of the Utah Symphony. He served as Assistant Conductor of the Memphis Symphony and Conductor of the Memphis Youth Symphony from 2023 to 2026 and was previously a Salonen Fellow with the San Francisco Symphony and Assistant Conductor of the Chicago Sinfonietta. Dickson is the recipient of the GPMF Advocate for the Arts Award and CAG’s Weinert Award and Weissberg Prize.

Recent conducting engagements include the National Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, and the Louisiana Philharmonic. As cover conductor, Dickson has worked with ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, Baltimore Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Orchestre de Paris, and the NDR Elbphilharmonie.

Deeply committed to music education, Dickson has worked with the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, UW-Madison Summer Music Institute, Carnegie Hall’s NYO/NYO2, Chicago Youth Symphony, and the Colburn Academy Virtuosi.
