Frequently Asked Questions
Who can participate?
A “student” is defined as K-12, Undergraduate, and Graduate students. Must be a full-time student to be eligible. You must provide a current and valid student ID to participate.
What performances are included?
Most Utah Symphony Masterworks, Entertainment, Films in Concert, Family, and Finishing Touches performances at Abravanel Hall or Utah Opera performances at Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre. The Student All-Access Pass cannot be used for tickets to performances at other venues or select SIGNATURE performances
Can my Student All-Access Pass be used for every performance? Are there any exceptions?
Seating is not guaranteed. Performances that are sold out, or projected to sell out by the day of show, will not be available. SIGNATURE concerts are not eligible; however, tickets may become available on the day of show. You will receive an email prior to the performance letting you know whether or not your Student All-Access Pass may be used for a particular concert. Please call the Ticket Office for details.
How many cards can I purchase?
Each student may purchase one (1) of either an All-Access Student Pass (admit 1) for $69 or an All-Access Student Duet Pass (admits 2) for $109.
When can I reserve my seats?
Seating is determined the day of show, and tickets may be requested starting at 3:00 pm for evening performances; two hours prior to start time for matinee performances. Seating is subject to availability. Please have your account number ready when you call to reserve seats. If you want to sit with friends, we highly recommend you reserve your tickets together. Please have your season pass and a photo ID ready when you come to pick up tickets from will-call.
What if the performance sells out?
If the performance sells out, Student All-Access Pass tickets will not be available. We’re sorry! We’ll try to notify you in advance if that is likely to happen. As a student and season pass holder, you have the option to purchase tickets at the student discount rate (up to 50% off) for performances pacing to sell out. Please call the ticket office for details. Some restrictions may apply.
Where will I be sitting?
Seating is subject to availability. We will select the best available seat for you when your ticket is reserved. Please be prepared to let us know if you prefer Main Floor or Upper Level seating so we can assist everyone calling in as efficiently as possible!
Will I get a discount if I buy additional tickets?
Yes! Additional tickets may be purchased at the student rate (up to 50% off) for eligible performances, or the subscriber discount of up to 20%. If you’d like to sit with friends, please reserve your tickets together. You may be eligible for Under 30 discounts – please call the Ticket Office for details.
Can I share my student season pass?
No, the season pass is non-transferable.
