OVERVIEW
Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals brings a parade of animals to life through music and movement, in collaboration with Children’s Dance Theatre. What’s more, we’ll hear a brand-new piece called Good Golden Sun, a collaboration between New York Times bestselling author-illustrator Brendan Wenzel and Utah-native composer (and audience favorite!) Andrew Maxfield. From the march of the roaring lions to the fluttering birds heard in the flutes, The Carnival of the Animals is a tuneful adventure that’ll have imaginations running wild! Round up your little critters and join us for a paws-itively unforgettable day.
Family Series concerts are roughly 60 minutes—perfect for wiggly bodies under 10—and include hands-on pre-concert activities in the lobby!
GENERAL AGE GUIDELINE: This family-friendly performance is open to audience members of all ages. Children occupying their own seat must have a ticket for admission; however, babes in arms (children sitting in a lap for the duration of the performance) may be admitted for free, and will not require a ticket.
