OVERVIEW

Prepare for a journey through the soul-stirring landscapes of life and death with Tchaikovsky’s final work—his “Pathétique” Symphony. Composed just days before his own death, this symphony poignantly explores Tchaikovsky’s deeply personal struggle of longing, brimming with vulnerability. He shared, “I love it as I have never loved any one of my musical offspring before.” And trust us, you’ll feel that love in every note.

Fauré’s Requiem was also written in the wake of personal loss, but offers a serene, hopeful view of death, choosing peaceful release over judgment. His “Pie Jesu” and “In Paradisum” soar with transcendent beauty, transforming death into an aspiration for happiness rather than a fearsome end.
