Is it music or is it pasta?

Have you ever noticed that composers have fancy names that sort of sound like tasty Italian food? If you don’t speak Italian, it can be hard to keep all these fancy names straight. For example, is Scarlatti a 17th century composer or is it a pasta with red sauce and lots of cheese?
