OVERVIEW

Though it has “simple” in the title, don’t let Britten’s composition fool you—his Simple Symphony is full of rich melodies, intricate techniques, and lightning-fast passages. Also featuring works by Bartók, Rutter, and Florence Price, our just-added Music for Strings is an intimate program shining the spotlight on our violins, violas, cellos, and basses.

Coupled with the majestic backdrop of the brand-new Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center in Taylorsville, Music for Strings will transport audiences to a melodic world of stirring string sonorities.
