OVERVIEW

Primal cries unmistakably signal the big, bombastic, and beautiful tour de force of Carmina Burana, Orff’s choral masterpiece that has transcended popular culture. Joshua Cerdenia’s urgent and energetic Fire-Drunk was inspired by his vision of Dante standing before a wall of flames and Stravinsky’s dazzling Firebird tells the tale of a magical creature who helps break an evil spell. This is a program that is nothing short of a spectacle!

Due to illness, Brian Stucki and Liv Redpath are unable to join us as soloists in Orff’s Carmina Burana and will be replaced by tenor Jack Swanson and soprano Ashley Fabian.

PROGRAM

JOSHUA CERDENIA: Feuertrunken (Fire-Drunk)
