Concert highlights include:

Marvel at pianist Kevin Cole as he tackles not 1 but 3 of Gershwin’s masterworks, including the incomparable Rhapsody in Blue.
Watch the orchestra get its turn to shine with the uncontainable energy of Gershwin’s Cuban Overture.
Connect with a fresh American voice and hear Andrew Norman’s Sacred Geometry, a programmatic journey from one end of France’s Chartres Cathedral to the other.

Due to a recent back injury and on the advice of his doctor, Music Director Thierry Fischer has withdrawn from conducting this week’s Masterworks concerts, “Rhapsody in Blue.” Associate Conductor Conner Gray Covington will lead the Utah Symphony and guest pianist Kevin Cole in a program featuring Gershwin and composer in association Andrew Norman’s “Sacred Geometry” on Thursday, Nov. 14 at Brigham Young University in Provo, Friday, Nov. 15 at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, and the all-Gershwin UNWOUND on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Abravanel Hall.
