OVERVIEW

Revel in Dvorák’s light and bright Symphony No. 5, from its flowing introduction by the clarinets to its Bohemian dances to its rousing finale. This rarely performed work is paired with a perennial favorite—the lush and luxurious Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 featuring Randall Goosby, praised for the intensity and sensitivity of his musicianship. The evening is set in motion with a spin on a merry-go-round as Ana Sokolovic’s Ringelspiel takes us back to memories of simpler childhood times.
